Another Freedom

What if freedom didn’t mean controlling everything, but knowing what we can truly control?

There are things that depend on our choices and others that are completely beyond our will. Chance, time, luck, other people’s decisions, loss, change, and uncertainty are all part of life, even when we would rather avoid them.

Another Kind of Freedom begins with this awareness. Not to teach us to passively accept whatever happens, but to recognize the difference between what we can change and what we simply have to acknowledge.

Perhaps freedom does not mean having control over everything. Perhaps it means being able to choose how we face what we cannot control.

Because we cannot always choose what happens to us. But we can ask ourselves what to do with what remains.
